Managing The Indexer
You may pause/resume/start/stop/restart the indexer and recreate index manually for each particular device or globally (for all devices simultaneously).
To pause the indexer globally, select Actions
-> Suspend Indexer option from the Main
Menu or simply click the rightmost Status
Bar button. Once the indexer is paused, you may see that Suspend
Indexer option is grayed and "Pause" button in Status
Bar is changed to "Resume".
To resume the indexer globally, select Actions -> Resume Indexer option from the Main Menu or click "Resume" button in Status Bar.
To pause/resume the indexer for particular device, select Devices option from the Main Menu, choose device name or identifier you want to pause/resume the indexer for and, finally, select Pause or Resume option to suspend/resume the indexer respectively.
To start/stop the indexer for particular device, select Devices option from the Main Menu, choose device name or identifier you want to start/stop the indexer for, and, finally, select Start or Stop option to start/stop the indexer respectively.
To restart the indexer for particular device, select Devices option from the Main Menu, choose device name or identifier you want to restart the indexer for, and, finally, select Restart option.
To recreate the index file globally (for all devices the indexer is allowed), select Actions -> Recreate Index option from the Main Menu.
To recreate the index for particular device, select Devices option from the Main Menu, choose device name or identifier you want to recreate the index file for, and, finally, select Recreate option.
Pause, Resume, Start, Stop, Restart options are not available if the indexer is
not allowed for selected device. By default, the indexer is available only for the devices Gaviri PocketSearch® is installed to.
