Installation

Gaviri PocketSearch® installation procedure is simple and straightforward. All that you have to do is download installation package at http://www.gaviri.com/site/downloads, launch it and follow the prompts given. Gaviri PocketSearch® is installed directly on the portable device - NO files are copied to system folders and NO system files or settings are modified.

Installation steps for Microsoft Windows users

• Download PocketSearch-X.X.exe file at http://www.gaviri.com/site/downloads
• Double-click the file to start installation
• Select installation language from combobox menu
• Gaviri PocketSearch® checks whether the portable drives are plugged to your PC. In case you have several drives attached, Gaviri PocketSearch® will be installed on the first available. In case none are attached, click "No" button to install application to your hard drive.
• Click "Next" button and read carefully the license agreement. To accept it, click "Agree" button.
• Select the drive where you want Gaviri PocketSearch® to be installed. Click "Install" button to proceed.

Installation steps for U3 portable device users

• Download PocketSearch-X.X.u3p file at http://www.gaviri.com/site/downloads
• Invoke U3 Launchpad by clicking the U3 icon in system tray
• Select Add Programs -> Install from My Computer option
• Navigate to U3 package file you have downloaded from our site and click "Open" button
• Click "Next" button and read carefully the license agreement. To accept it, click "Agree" button.
• Select the drive where you want Gaviri PocketSearch® to be installed. Click "Install" button to proceed.
• Click "Done" button to finish installation procedure.

Installation steps for Ceedo portable device users

• Launch "Ceedo"
• Click Ceedo easy-access menu button and select Add Programs option
• Once the default browser is launched and you are transferred to "Ceedo Programs Directory", select Search Engines link at the left frame
• Locate Gaviri PocketSearch® and click "Download" button
• When download is completed, double-click installation file and follow prompts given

Transferring Gaviri PocketSearch® installation to other device

• select Devices -> Device Registry option from the Main Menu or press <Ctrl> + <Shift> + <R>
• select the device drive from the list of available devices
  In case the device is not visible, make sure it is plugged to your PC
• click Install Gaviri PocketSearch® button to start installation process
  To be able to search several devices at the same time, you have to purchase Multiple Device License.

After installation Gaviri PocketSearch® indexes all the content on the drive and any new files added are indexed on the fly (granted that Gaviri PocketSearch® is running). You may tell it not to index any file you do not want to index by selecting Tools -> Select Files from the Main Menu and unchecking any folder you do not wish to index.
