Device RegistryThe Device Registry dialog allows you to manage all portable devices and drives in you system.
The Devices tree panel displays all plugged portable devices and hard drives in your system. The list is updated dynamically whenever you plug/unplug any portable device. The device icon (to the left) is automatically changed to
The Devices tree panel display versatile information such as device name, vendor name and ID (if provided), device/drive size and free space left, total number of indexed files as well as indexer status. Filtered types field displays all files' extensions that are not included in the index file (excluded from search).
This button lets you install Gaviri PocketSearch® to other device. This frees you from bothering with installation package, license information, etc. whenever you want to install Gaviri PocketSearch® elsewhere. Simply select the drive in Devices tree panel and click mentioned button to install.
The Privacy pane lets you specify portable device drives that should be indexed, and, as a result, be searchable. You may exclude certain devices from being included in a search if you don't trust it, or, do not want your files be searchable. Thus, Privacy pane creates a sandbox where you may safely conduct a search. To allow/block searching and indexing for the device, select it in Devices tree and toggle corresponding button in Privacy panel. | ||||||
